Default LOL! Yeah if they would import the A5 TDI it would be a no brainer

40MPG highway and only .2sec slower than the S5 in 0-60.

Default With your desire for TDI, you should look at the 330d too that'll be here soon too.

Although you won't get the kind of discount you will on an 08 335i. I'll be interested to hear your impressions after a test drive (of either).

Sorry guys...I know this is an Audi forum...I still got my A4 so it's all good right?

Another FYI...the 09's 335i's got a bump in price so the 08's look even better.

Ok...enough BMW talk....

Vorsprung Der Technik! Auto Union FTW! I can't believe how high the UID'd no.'s are now. I feel like a gradnpa at 600ish.

Default leadfooted, getting 25mpg+ in my A5

but I have to say, if you can go for the S5, do it. I'm sure I'll be trading my car in for *at least* an S5 after I get my MBA...

Default Thanks guys! I went to the dealer tonight after work to "talk..."

There was a very nice meteor grey S5, Black A4 and Ibis A5 in the showroom. I crawled through the A5 and A4. I had been in an S5 about a year or so ago, but I had forgotten some of the finer elements. Both the A5 and S5 were calling me.

I went into the new A4. It was very comparable interior wise. The exterior is also a very similarly influenced. Based on looks it is definitely a great option if you want 4 doors.

I couldnt sit in the S5 and the A5 was not sportline, but yeah... I think the A5 Sportline is my next car, unless I really dont like something on the test drive =)

Appreciate all the feedback

Default So the question now becomes... what color??

Phantom = similar to my volcano, also a S5 only color?

Brilliant Black = love the look but requires lots of TLC

Meteor = hard to tell by the pics how "deep" the color is. I worry about it being close to the "Primer grey" TT color

Quartz Grey = Hard to get excited about a Silver, but it does fit the car

Garnet or Misano Red = Is this really an available option?
I have been desiring a red Audi with the new front for awhile. But arrest me red I'm not sure about. I really like the back/tail lights of the A5/S5 and brilliant red doesnt show them well, the misano appears to be a better color

or

Deep sea blue = I'm pretty uninspired by dark blue cars, but this is a very dark color and sort of meets my desire for another black(ish) car.

If any of you guys have these colors can you post your best 3/4 shot? I found the thread below, but the colors don't seem to match some other photos I have found on here. Perhaps it should be made into a new FAQ post...

A5/S5 Colors... complete or accurate listing?

Default Daytona Gray -- but $2500 for a custom color

I saw this color on an RS4 and loved it. You can order it as a custom color for an extra $2,500. I was going to do it, but my car had already been scheduled for production and they couldn't then add in this extra step.

Sorry for volunteering to spend more of your money!

I ended up going with Quartz Gray. I think it suits the car, though it doesn't blow me away. At least it's more of a warm gray (not much blue in it).
