after a 6-month wait, my Amethyst Gray A5 S-Line arrived [lots of photos]
I ordered the car 6-months ago. Seems like a long time, but my dealer gave me an B7 A4 to drive for the last couple months while I waited, so it wasn't too bad.
The car is an A5 Prestige version, with S-Line package, auto transmission, and rear sunshade.
Its a comfortable and fun car.
It was difficult to get the color right in the photographs, because the color looks different in different light, and then it doesn't always look in the photos the way it looks in person. The photos here show it fairly well, but also show the difference depending on the lighting.

Wow, that looks great. Does Amethyst Gray have a purple tint in person, or are the photos misrepresenting the color?

But even in person, depending on the light, it will look different.
I had wanted a grayish A5, but I also wanted some color to it. I had never seen this color in person until my car came in.
Before I ordered, I came across this color in some photos from some Q5 owners in Canada, and a gentleman in the Netherlands (on one of these Audi boards) sent me photos of his Amethyst Gray A5 Sportback, and those looked good so I was fairly confident that I picked the right color to order.

Congrats, that is an awesome color!
The rims really go well with it.
