Default Any luck in getting a discount off MSRP?

I will be test driving the S5 this weekend and will probably place my order next week. How have you guys been doing in terms of getting dealers in the US to offer a discount? Thanks for your input.

Default depends on your relationship with the dealer...

my guess is 1st time buyers will have less luck versus those who have bought multiple cars from the same dealer (the s5 will be my 4th audi from the same dealer as well as two referrals who bought cars from that dealer). i'd hope in the interest of maintaining a customer they'd be more inclined to work with you if it's repeat business.

This will be my third Audi and second one from this dealer (2005 Allroad). How did you make out on price on yours?

TBD on my price but I set the expectation that I will not pay MSRP. I don't expect to get a huge discount but expect some leeway... for them not to knock off some money to keep a loyal customer (as it sounds like most of us are) would be foolish IMHO.

Default I wonder how soon the Costco program will have the S5?

Typical is $700 to $1000 over invoice.

Just wait about a year. Then the market will allow.
