I double-checked and you are right boy, Reifen 245/40 R 18 - Räder Aluminium-Gussräder, 8,5 J x 18. I find it hard to believe though since Europe have better road pavements and no potholes at all, I guess they feel the 19" wheels are just way too much. I wonder how an S5 feels on 18".

In Europe they want money for everything. Want 19/20" - purchase expensive option (I believe at least 1K euro for 19 and 2K for 20).

I don't believe is about wanting money for everything, it's simply worked out better, individually choosing what you only want which makes a lot of sense to me.. as opposed to here in the US where it all comes in packages, so there is no option to pick what you only want/need. I think Europe is smart and in the US they tell us what it is and you either get it or not. As with everything else.. not much choices for US customers. Not to mentioned the 130mph speed limiter in most models, in europe they can tweak this up if you want and go +155mph. We don't stand a chance in US.

Not really. Some major cities yes. There's a lot more places in Europe that still have nice cars and have horrible roads. In many parts of eastern europe you'll see every car you would elsewhere, except they're all running smaller diameter wheels and higher profile tires.
