I have 2009 6spd s5. 3000 miles. Only happens when engine is cold, I notice in the morning most. I take it very easy until engine is warm, but notice this stutter in 1st, 2nd sometimes 3rd when engine gets above 2000 rpm. I say stutter because feels like a plug or two may not be firing thereby losing power.

Once warmed up (3 -5 min), stutter goes away.

I've been noticing for a few months. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, but it's more of a lag (the old turbo lag) rather than stutter/rough acceleration.

ambient temperatures have dropped. more of a temporary loss of power. Annoying

Me too! I thought I needed to re-learn how to drive a manual! I've concluded that it only happens when the motor is cold.

says dont' worry unless happens on warm engine and or warning lights on dash come on. says big FSI engine will do that sometimes until reaches operating temp. says to just let it warm up. we'll see.
