wrong again my friend, as i said, in test from reputable mags across the board, the S5's acceleration times and even cornering G force was by far better that what the new S4 posted , across each performance platform, get it through your head, they are different animals,I must say though that yes the S5 is harder to get right, And is not for the timid at heart,The S5's 4.2 is veritable blow torch compared to the S4's more comparable gas fireplace lighter!!!

Tust me with a change to an AWE full custom exhaust ,and this car totally transforms, If you want the total package, get the stassis ohlins coilover,And all is more than well in the universe

I am a turbo fan so can easily fall in love with 3.0T for all the right reasons (even if just a supercharger). That said I think a true GT car should have a V8 and I really think the V8 and growl is a great and important part of the car's appeal. So my vote is 4.2. I am hoping the RS5 retains the V8 at least. I might not have bought my S5 with the 3.0.

the output based rpms. Not so important under normal conditions, but when you are on the limits of adhesion, it's nice to have that last bit of control. Otherwise the stability control and awd is working overtime to save your skin. It's no longer the driver, but the car that is doing all the work. As an example, watch an EVO driver try to drive anything 2wd with any pace - especially w/o stability control - and see what is missing.
I love giving tiny dabs of throttle to keep the car on course at the limit, knowing that the correct gear can keep me from entering a trouble zone with regards to too much torque.
I also think the to this is a move to reduce emissions so Audi can continue to offer more extreme but limited models like the RS5 with fewer political repercussions.
