Audi A5 2.0- Why?
#131
i WORK On newer Audi's and fix these cars on a daily basis. And yes, they are junk. I choose to drive older cars. Just because your a pompous *** that drives a new car with a failure of an engine doesn't mean you need to insult me and my car thats lasted the test of time. Ill be waiting for your oil consumption threads in awhile...And its a KNOWN problem the coils catching on fire. I have seen a few cars totaled from the fires, and had several luckily ones just melt a hole in the plastic valve cover. Your time will come, wait till warranty is over. And if you actually drove an Audi with a REAL engine. They are glass smooth and quiet. The 1.8T or 2.0T are NOT smooth. They noisy, vibratory little toys that belong in a Jetta or Passat, not a premium luxury car.
this isn't a porsche forum. LOL if you think there's some kind of vintage audi enthusiast demographic.

Wow! This thread is bruising. Never drove the 2.0T but I have owned an A4 1.8T with APR chip for 9 years and 146k miles. I get 28 mpg and the acceleration is good. The coil packs were replaced for free.
And the engine uses little oil between changes. Far less than the 3.0 inline 6 in my wife's BMW X5 (a great engine in spite of oil consumption)
I do not regret passing up the 3.0 V6 for the 1.8T. Why are people so upset? If you want a six buy a car with a six and leave the 2.0T owners to their happiness.
