Use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Cap Cost - Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Here is a great online publication about leasing: <a href="http://www.autoleaseinsider.blogspot.com/2007/03/auto-lease-insider-introduction.html"><b>Auto Lease Insider</b></a>.

Default Here are the facts ....

That's interesting since we quote US Bank.

Here is a real quote:

<a href="http://www.leasecompare.com/quick_lease_quotes.php?ModelYear=2008&MakeID=80&Mo delID=140&StyleID=113"><b>2008 Audi A5 Lease Quote</b></a>

Ordering the car through us with the $49,875 sticker you get $781 for 36 mo/12k miles with $0 down.

$5k down puts you at $625.

The payments are higher if you secure the vehicle at MSRP.

BTW - US Bank does not lease directly to individuals.

Default I found them comparable back in Oct 07. The payments were within the same ball park

as my US Bank loan through the Audi dealership. I almost went through Leasecompare but the rates came out a couple of weeks after my car arrived back from E.D.

well then your website sucks because that's NOT anything close to what i found.

just went on your site. for MSRP-750 ($49125, what i negotiated), with 710 credit and zero down, here is what came up on your site:

Lease Offers* Lease Term Residual Money Factor Payment
Bank Lease A 36 months $25,844 0.00209 $832
Bank Lease B 36 months $25,844 0.00290 $896
Bank Lease E 36 months $26,341 0.00306 $898
Bank Lease D 36 months $20,874 0.00386 $1,103

....Bank lease A being the best deal, i clicked go ahead on A. it clearly states:

Monthly Payment $832
Down Payment + $0
Due at Signing = $832
+ tax and license fees.

Tax on $49,875 is $3117.19 in TX, plus license fees are approx $300 bucks. so, due-at-signing would be $3117.19+300(approx)+$832 = $4249.19 due at signing.

i got USbank through my local dealer, payments were $833, with TAX rolled in.

anyways, i have heard good things about Leasecompare - but note the fees/taxes up-front if you're in a tax-first state.

Default In TX there may be ....

tax credits that can help lower the payment.

Other than that, we are finding that our payments through US Bank are normally lower than the dealer, especially if they are marking up the rate.

The $781 payment/$0 down I was referring to is if we order the vehicle and do the lease.

well too late - already driving it!

your site should talk about tax credits then. i ended up going through the dealer because your site was perceptibly MUCH higher - seemed like an enormous ripoff. perhaps it's not - do you offer the ability to roll in the tax in tax-first states?

and what do you mean, you have to order the vehicle? meaning the purchaser cannot put their deposit down, order a car, and THEN work w/ you guys?

that also wouldnt have worked for me, since i ordered mine last july, to get a 1st shipment delivery - you folks weren't offering A5 leases then...
