Default Re: I would say its worth it! Considering the dealer wants 130 bucks to change the oil in my 325CI.

That's right my dealer wants $130.00 for a oil change.

Default Additional Question on Audi Care

If I'm buying my Audi from a different state - will my Audi Care be honored at local Audi dealerships?

I just bought my A5 yesterday and got the Audi Care package as the only extra service because it saves 50% on dealer quoted maintenance. Even if the dealer charges a premium for scheduled maintenance its not likely to be double the cost of an independent Audi garage. FYI, these are the prices the dealer quoted me for A5 services

15k $300
25k $130
35k $875
45k $130

Plus you get a loaner car and dealer service could positively impact residual value. So I think the $740 was def worth it!

You paid $740 for AudiCare? The standard charge is $650.

Hi Anthony, I just missed the boat on the $650 rate because it was increased in March '09. But even at $90 more I still thought it was worth it. Plus I bought my car on the lat day of the month when the dealer was desperate to make his numbers. So he gave me a hell of a deal on my A5 that more than compensated for the small price hike on Audi Care

I was offered it at $740 when I bought my 08 12k S5 on Saturday. Didn't seem like that great a deal at the time but if the numbers above are accurate:

15k $300
25k $130
35k $875
45k $130

Then maybe I missed the boat. Is the service honored at any dealership? Is it transferrable if the car is sold? Does the S5 really have 10L of oil?

Thanks.

That's correct new car Audi Care is now $740 effective March 1st 2009. Yay price increase! Also the 75k service was dropped on CPO Audi Care quite some time ago. Pretty sure it was a year ago actually. So CPO Audi Care is JUST the 55k and 65k services now.

When did Audi stop offering full maintenance on their cars?
