Default A better plan would be to have severe penalties for causing an accident while on your phone

I think that a cell phone can be used safely while driving, but many people do not use them safely and should be fined for not driving safely.

Default Already outlawed to use your handset while driving in New York. In California...

we're getting that in 2008. But you can still use hands-free things (like Bluetooth) which is totally fine because it's like talking to someone in your car, rather than on a handset. For whatever reason, most people can't hold the handset to their head to talk while driving at the same time. Can't wait for that law to go into effect, 3 of the bad drivers I pass everyday are on their cellphones. I actually ask people if I can call them back while driving half the time.

It's hard to prove this... wouldn't work so well. Just get rid of the handsets--the cause.

It's actually a real smooth ride for an SUV, I like it It doesn't go fast but it's comfy

Default I have an A6 4.2 with 91K on it

and I have found that since the warranty has ended, there have not been many problems, but those that I have had, can be expensive to fix. I truly love Audis, but just like any German car, getting them repaired by an after-market shop is expensive, even if you have a highly skilled, fair, and efficient mechanic.

The Thermostat went south, and it cost 4 hours labor to repair.
The Power steering hoses started to leak, and it cost about $500 in parts, and $400 in labor to fix.

I have the Bently manuel, and I'm pretty handy, but when it comes down to digging into the engine itself, I usually leave that to others. So, if you buy an Audi, be prepared for more expensive repairs, at whatever time they come.

Remember, in all fairness, you will have this very same problem with BMW, and Mercedes. Mercedes is probably the worst of the bunch, with those mechanics commanding the highest hourly rates.
