Default AWE Exhaust Notes

Gentlemen,
So I've been looking at YouTube videos trying to get a feel for what sound I would like out of my car... While the stock sound is really nice, I'd like something deeper- throatier. But not too loud as the S5 will be my dd.

Im thinking the AWE Track pipes with the stock downpipes sound like what I am looking for. Does anyone here have that setup?? what are your impressions of it?

Tell me whatever your setup you have... how it compares to stock, I know it tough to describe a sound in words but if you can give me you best description that'll be great.

Thanks!

It's phenomenal. My enjoyment of the car was transformed by it. Look up John P. S5 Audi s5 Vossen on YouTube and you'll find my video. I have the downpipes in my garage--just waiting for a day when I have time to bolt them on.

If you're getting an auto, get the touring version, though.

That is a nice looking ride ma man! The rims are a great match for this car. I have some all black 20" 5-spoke Jade-R Drifts I can wait to get on Svenja next spring (had them on my A6)...

Great sound! Just about what I am hoping for, I'll probably go with the AWE downpipes as well. Svenja is Manual- going with the Track version.

I have the AWE exhaust with stock downpipes on my S5. The sound is much throatier than the stock exhaust, and it is quiet in the low to mid rpm range (like stock), but the mid to high rpm range it gets much sportier and powerful sounding. It is one of the best sounding and well built systems out there. Here is a video of my S5 revving with the AWE system.

Let me know if you want some more videos and soundclips.

I had my S5 stock for 3 years, and then bought it out of the lease. Installed AWE exhaust, and made it much nicer. It made me feel I bought a brand new car again.

Just finished install on my AWE system (track with AWE downpipes) and it sounds awesome!!!! To me, it sounds much louder than it does in the vids posted by the OP. I saw those vids b/f purchase and I can tell you it's louder in person. Not bad loud but it is loud. I'll do a video and post later.
