A vertical slot doesn't make it a coin holder.

Default Have you seen the inside of the vertical slots? But if you don't want to believe its a coin holder,

then you can always think its a vent for some cool air to keep your hand cool on the shifter By the way those round things by the arm rest, are those cup holders? Cause they could also be double ashtrays...

Default Twice now in this thread you act like this is so obviously a coin holder...

...well, read any A5/S5 forum and you'll see that it is a big mystery. But, if you feel like you are smarter than everybody else, good for you. You win the internet. Yay for you.

This is easy enough to figure out. Just pop up the center console and see if there is a sensor.

Default I don't act, it's pretty obvious that it's a coin holder. I'm glad you found a different function

for it. Would you please enlighten me what you use it for?

Default If you are looking for the temp sensor, then look above the A/C button. It's right there. Pic inside

Default Dealers may not always know, that is true, but this IS a coin holder.

Dealers may not always know, that is true, but this IS a coin holder. A stupid coin holder for sure, but nevertheless. I guess the repair diagram finally puts any questions to rest too.

The A/C sensors are located quite elsewhere.

Default Rojak, where can you get a copy of the repair manual?

Are there wiring diagrams as well?
