They said that a couple of the guys went to Germany and were told that RS5 won't arrive the US until 2014 or so. Got delayed.

Audi recently stated that the Rs5 will arrive 1 year after the TTRS. Someone posted an interview with AoA and the TTRS at a recent car show, and they briefly discussed the Audi RS5. Tried to find the video but couldn't. I'm sure if you do some digging you can find it.

Any top of the line model or specialty vehicle is always driven by sales in Europe first, hence why vehicles are offered first in European countries and a few years after elsewhere. If sales of that model ( RS5 in this case ) aren't that strong chances are RS5 won't be coming to US anytime soon but if orders pick up and Audi breaks-even in European sales at some point in time, it may come sooner to the US. Audi loses lots of money when sending a vehicle across the Atlantic because they need to reduce prices to stay competitive in the new market or vehicle segment plus US vehicles need to e specific to US standards and electronics tweaked. Just to give you an idea.. RS5 sells for over US$100k in Europe and will be sold around $70-$80K in the US. S5 cost close to US$90K in Europe yet in US S5 starts at $52K. RS5 is no ordinary vehicle. My guess is that for every 25 A5/S5 vehicles sold at any given moment there will only be an RS5 sold. It will be a quite expensive 2-door coupe for the rich.
