Best looking color for the A5/S5 - Ibis White

White = fleet car; it's the color for people that don't care about color or that buy from
dealer stock just to get the end-of-year deals.
Seriously, I think it's the most uninspired color to paint any car. Maybe second, after brown.

I certainly don't agree either...

White can be a great colors on these cars...especially Audi's white which is about the whitest in the business. White with red interior would be a very unique combination and is one of the top 3 color combinations I may go with (though admittedly at the bottom of that list). Probably better suited for the A5 than S5, but on the other hand would only further emphasize the "wolf in sheeps skin" nature of the S5.

Not true for every car design nor for every white.
The A3 looks really plain in black or grey, but white makes it look more upscale. Toyota and Honda white are ugly because there's no warmth. Mercedes white is plain because they don't use pieces that contrast with white.

Hey, variety is the spice of life, but I've never seen a car I preferred in white. The only car
I've even come close to liking in white were the GT3s with contrasting wheels, mirrors & graphics, and even that car I would rather have in a non-white color.
