Default Black Headliner

I was looking to change my 2010 a5's headliner from the standard gray to the sline black. Is this fairly easy? What fabrics are best?
I also wanted to dye the rear view mirrors, light fixtures, and the top handles black to match the headliner. Has anyone done this?

IMHO between the parts, labor, hassle and making sure it looks perfect you may want to also look into trading your car for a s-line if this is of that much importance to you. I do have the black headliner and it looks great! good luck! let us know what you decide.

Do you have gray pillar trims? If so, then it won't look right.

If your dead set on doing this...check around for prices at the dealer and possibly some used junk yards.

I'm not sure what your asking about when dying, so please clarify.

sounds like a complete waste of money to me, if your going to do it, then may i suggest using alcantara? At least then it will be unique.

It costs less than $50 to buy a roll of aftermarket headliner fabric (any color or style) online and some 3M spray glue. Search the internet for "car headliner fabric".

You remove the headliner board from the car ceiling, peel off the old fabric (and throw away), scrape away any of the thin foam padding from the headliner board with stiff wire brush, spray on the glue, roll on the new fabric, let dry, trim edges, reinstall into car, reattach the handles/visors/trim/dome lights.

Swap out the Oh5hit handles/visors/dome lights with the color you need from a junkyard. Don't dye them; they will bleed on your passengers' hands.
