Hi guys,
I have a 2010 A5 2.0T S-tronic.
Long story short, the car jerks when it comes to a complete stop (the feeling is like I have been lightly rear ended) and also lurches forward during move off in first gear.
Issues only surface after I have been driving for about 30mins-45mins continuously - with a warm engine.
When the engine is cold or during short drives, everything works perfectly and the car drives buttery smooth.
What could be the problem?

Yes, an S5 has a S-tronic = DSG = DL501 = 0B5 7-speed transmission
Sounds like the gasket plate between the two halves of the bottom section of the Mechatronics unit needs to be replaced.
Valve body separator plate 0B5 DL501 (maktrans.net)
The Mechatronics unit can be pulled out of the transmission from below, the transmission does not need to be removed to do this.
Read thru this:
SK: Harsh downshift from 2-1, occasional 3-2 (OB5/DL501, S-tronic) - AudiWorld Forums
