I tend to think that Audi dealers get more baseline cars in for inventory. It's what I've seen so far. The unsold A5 Cabs were all basic vehicles at three different dealerships. Once you load them, the prices get a bit scary. I don't think it has anything to do with the seats. The seats come with the scissor rims that are so gorgeous! Another thing is that in my area, the Cabs are driven by middle aged to seniors and they don't want a harsh ride.

Default Brilliant Black with Linen Beige

She is a 2009, so she came with the light wood (ash I think) accents - LOVE my color combo!

Default Red/ Cinnamon 2010

I had never seen a red/brown A5 but I imagined it would look rich, especially with nutmeg.I ordered it 11/4, my dealer was nervous about the combo until it came in 1/18.It's a great combo don't worry.

I believe the comfort of the sport seats is inversely proportional to the girth of the driver.

That may explain the dealers stocking the wider seats in their cars.

But how many A5 customers have the body of a 17 year old boy?

Exactly. If one used the logic that dealers don't stock A5's with Sport seats because they are too "firm" then one could assume dealers don't stock A5 Cabs with Comfort seats because they are too "comfortable". ;-)

the Comfort Package is to keep the neck warm and the *** cool. It's a pricey option. I am sure that the majority of people want the heaters but won't want to pay extra for anything more than that. It's like 2400 I think. With that you get a sportier seat too. The seats are not going to be more comfortable for most BUT they will be more comfortable when it's too hot or too cold.
