MMI is Multi-Media Interface system. The central command for the vehicle's occpant, mainly the driver. It is where you control radio, car setting, phone and NAV (If you have it) etc.
Not if you turn the system off completely, at least not for the US cars. Most people just ended up muting the system thinking that it is turned off, which is why it will come back on again after the car is re-started. To turn it off, you need to hold the button down X-amount of time and the system will shut off and the screen display wll show the model of the car and MMI.

Have you rebooted the MMI?
Setup button, Center button and top right soft button together until it reboots.
If it doesn't work, I'd take it in to the Stealership.

No i havent rebooted. where is the set up button the center button and the right soft button? is it on the screen? or the steering wheel? do you have a diagram? thanks for the help

premium plus and no navigation and yes they did work and they do work intermittantly but moreoften the control is frozen. i am going to bring in this week and not to dealer where i bought car. a local dealer
