In negotiations for my S5, I was trying to get the dealer to throw in the clothing hanger that Audi makes which clips on to the back of the headrest so you can hang a suit/coat and not lose visibility. Realized that the seats in the S-cars, if I remember my test drive correctly, don't have an adjustable headrest like that. Just wanted to confirm that the clothing hanger isn't compatible with the S-cars.

I also wanted a dipstick so I could check my own oil (outside of the MMI), but was told by my sales guy that he couldn't get a dipstick through the parts department for an S5. Do you have to go 3rd party for this?

The seats have an "integrated" head rest, so it's not adjustable and there are no headrest "posts" to hang anything from. However, I don't see a clothes hanger as a product in the Audi on-line catalog - are you sure they still offfer one?

As for a dip stick - I can't help you if you're getting the V6, but for the 4.2L V8 you can use Audi part 079 115 611 AB. Ask the parts department for it.

I ordered a dipstick from my dealer's parts department; PN 06E115611H.
I pick it up today and will post the cost.

Huh, I emailed my dealer that part number. Response I got:

That part number refers to a dipstick for a 2009 - 2011 A6/S6. For the 2013 S5 the option is not available as a spare part to be sold / purchased.

This part # 06E115611H is the same one I ordered and have used for my Q5 3.2. Therefore I'll just use the Q's on the S5.

Yes, the PN is for a 2009 - 2012 A6 with the 3.0 TFSI motor. Dealer said it fit other models as well.

It fits both the 3.0T & 3.2L motors.

There's a little 'peg' on the B pillar just behind the seat. I remember seeing it one day after I got my car and was like 'WTF'? The nit dawned on me what it's purpose was

Screw Audi Parts - buy from ECS Tuning and save $$$. Since the S5 and S4 have the same engine, you can use the same dipstick. I'd double check with ECS to make sure. I got one from them for my A4 as well as all my oil change/maintenance related stuff.

Interesting. when I went to order from ECS,the info said "product no longer available". Glad to see they restocked.

My dealer matched ECS' price + tax, but no shipping.
