Dealer quoted me $45K for the A5....sheesh, if that is the case, hello BMW 335.

Default i like your argument....

the S5 should be priced just about the same as the S4 and bingo... that will do wonders against BMW.

I many a times wonder that Audi's pricing structure is very Euro driven (which would be obvious) but then that same mentality tansfers to US.... but what doesnt transfers is the success they enjoy in the Euro market vs. the US market.

Audi can command the pricing against BMW in those markets where is it doing extremely well. Just cause US is the so called 3rd largest market for Audi doesnt mean that they can continue their marketing/pricing strategy carried from their largest market (Europe).

In the US Audi should just come in a little under BMW to really gain the market share. That by itself would count as an 'incentive' that many audi buyers are looking for.

Default I love my B6 S4, but if the S5 pricing were equal to the S4 I'd be there

I have considered the 335, but the interior doesn't do it.

I'd expect an agressive pricing strategy from BMW on the 335 around the time the S5 hits the dealers

335i starts at $40,800, your not getting one for under 45k and fully loaded around 49k

Default Re: unfortunately, current rumors/spec. indicate huge lease differential

I love the s5. The 3 series coupe is everyhwere, 5 in my garage. (STL)

I understand a premium, but the residual on an Audi is so poor in the US. I have a deposit on an S5, but am not going to get nuts.

Not sure why, but I have an aversion to BMW. Yet with BMW's residuals, how much more woud it be for an all new M3? Haven't run the numbers, as there are none. If the S5 fully loaded bumps over 60, I am out.

No complaints with my Inf M45, I can wait a year for a certified preowned S5 at a fraction of the cost. Better yet the RS5! I will also look into the Lexus ISF. I love the S5, but Audi needs to consider their horrible resale in the US.

Is the Audi European delivery program accessible nationwide?
