That there are many more of them available new than what is normally the case and that they can be had for under MSRP which us usually more difficult for the S5 since it is allocated. I got mine for $1500 under sticker MSRP.
Not exactly invoice, but I needed a car and did not want to wait until August for the 2012's.

A few months ago, I remember him saying with absolute certainty that the V8/Tiptronic would be replaced with the supercharged 3.0/S-tronic for MY2012 and that anyone who disagreed with him was an imbecile, illiterate, and a burden to society.

We will know more around mid-April when the first MY12 order guides arrive in our hands. My hunch is that the S5 4.2 will go away for MY13 (and become a 3.0T), when the RS 5 arrives.
I read on Fourtitude that Audi has a new Product Manager for A4 and A5; so perhaps some changes are in store for 2012.

I'd think any decisions a new product manager would make now for 2012 would be around pricing, option packaging, adding or deleting options available, etc.
Anything as significant as a change to engine or transmission (S-tronic vs tiptronic) would require a longer development and certification timeline, and would have to be more closely coordinated with the global product planners in Germany.

S5 Coupe will never see a V6 super or hyper charged otherwise they would have done it already just like they did with S5 Cab and in this times when gas prices are skyrocketing out there. I don't think Audi has a need for a V6 S5 Coupe, it wouldn't be a GT contender anymore.
