Pros/Cons ?
The A5/S5 isn't yet listed on Audi's European Delivery web page but based on other models, it looks like a 5% discount off MSRP will be offered. I only have some preliminary info about the Costco discount but from what I can gather, it would be about $700-$800 over invoice. I don't think Audi pays the plane fare to Europe but if you planned a European vacation anyway...

your S5/A5 on the Autobahn and throughout Europe. We did our Q7 this way and I will definately do it again and I am hoping to make it to the "Ring" in an S5 next time. We looked at it as not just purchasing a new vehicle but a life experience. It was an experience I will not soon forget, and when it is all said and done all you can expect to keep are some memories and experiences. JMHO

I lived in Europe for a couple of years and I've returned for vacations a couple of times, I guess the draw to visit isn't as great for me. I can hardly imagine driving a Q7 in Europe, it's such a behemoth. The MB 190E I had was occasionally a squeeze when navigating narrow streets in villages.

It was a little on the large size in a few instances but mostly no problem. I was surprised how rock solid it was in the 135 mph range. I expected it to be a little loose in the upper speed ranges.
I see your point, for me the draw is a very big deciding factor. I suppose if I had lived there it wouldn't be such a big deal. What part of Europe did you live in?

We lived in Naples, Italy for a couple of years, it was a military assignment. This afforded us the opportunity to travel to England, Spain, Germany & France. We're going back to Paris on April 7th.
