Default Is everyone here pretty much paying sticker for their cars?

I like the A5, but it would be difficult for me to justify unless I could get one under 40k.

Default Not going to happen unless you get a used manual Premium only car.

MSRP is $43000 on one for 2008. 2009s are in production now and will cost more. Start looking for a used one, that's the only way you're going to get into the under 40 range.

Default That's still over 40k. 5% of $43k is $2150 + tax, etc

Then there's the 2009 price increase. And I'm not sure if you know or not but you have to come up with the VAT upfront and Audi holds it for 60 days.

Default Just answering his question about discounts...

But where are you getting $43k? At least for 2008, it starts at $39,900...

Yes, I'm aware about the up-front payment of VAT, but Audi told me that it would be refunded immediately after I deliver the car to the dock--not after 60 days.

The used ones are going for more than new ones. This one only has the premium package based on the inside shots.

My dealer held the VAT check, never cashed it, tore it up at delivery

Default Yup...I ordered back in September. Price you pay for being early. The weird

thing is even though I have 4 grand on the odometer, I think I can still sell it for the amount I bought it for. What do you think?

Think you shouldn't think about that and just enjoy the car. Find other investments to ponder. ; )
