Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can clue me in on a rattling sound coming from underneath my 2011 A5 convertible with a 2.0 liter turbo.
I took this picture of my exhaust and it seems like there should be something between the pipes and the metal bracket. I have owned the car for close to 3 years and this issue just started recently. Picture of underneath car exhaust
Better views would help. If it's hitting the bracket, you should be able to move it up and down to look for a sign, like a shiney wear point. Also look for a broken rubber hanger. Could also be internal to the cat. Converter. You may even be able to locate the noise by moving the exh. system up and down.
Looks like a hanger on each rear muffler (11), and then two on the center muffler (7 and 9). Definitely shouldn't be resting on anything.
Thanks for the drawings!!!
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to help me. I'm having the passenger side cv Axle and boot replaced but after that I'm going to get the necessary
parts and tackle that rattling
AGAIN,
Thanks for the assistance.
Luke
