My order was originally placed Mar 23 for a 2010 S5 cab but in April i added the nav and the dealer told me i would get a 2011 S5 CAB instead and that the car would be here the first wk of July which was then switched to the first week of August which now has been switched to mid Oct, I asked the salesman probably ten times where is my commission # and he finally gave it to me on July 29, when i emailed him to ask if my car was in. Believe me i would have cancelled this order but i gave him my trade-in which he already sold so i would lose the tax saving which is over 3k. As for him selling it to a higher bidder i highly doubt it because here in Montreal you basically do not get any deals, the car listed for 80k and i paid 79, before taxes. I phoned Audi Canada and all they said was phone your dealer so the next time i,m buying a new car the way Audi treats it customers they can kiss my ...

I can see how all that adds to your frustration in waiting. When I ordered my '91 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo back in 1990, my car was damaged on the truck at the port (manufactured in Japan). The car was not permitted to be sold as new, and it was the last shipment of MY1991, so I had to wait for the '92s to arrive and pay the price increase on top of the dealer's "market adjustment". My allocation was on the first shipment in the fall of '91. I finally took ownership after 9 months of waiting. If that wasn't bad enough, when the grease monkey drove it from the secured lot, he had a metal comb in his back pocket and ripped the driver's seat. The dealership had to immediately order a new seat cover to reupholster it.

the main thing when ordering is if they have a car allocated that can be changed. Maybe they didn't have one and were waiting to get one to change to your specs. My order went very smoothly and they knew the whole time what was going on. My dealer had one on the allocation so there was no mystery.
I can only imagine your frustration!

You will love it. I've had mine for 2 days now. Feels faster and better than my 2006 S4. Only thing I miss is the V8 sound. Though the V6T still sounds pretty good.
