Flouting the front plate law...

and I thought I had ordered the filler plate up front, but I apparently did not. So I've been increasingly nervous since day 1. Now, Im beyond paranoid and not at all pleased with the situation. I'd love to do the magnet trick, but I looked at the grill today and have no clue how to get that off to install the magnets. Does not look like one of the simple pry offs. Probably need to remove that plastic cover on top under the hood, and then unscrew. Don't really feel like toying with the car until I know exactly what Im doing.
I looked up the magnet trick here, and none of the ones I found looked it was done on an S5.
Has anyone done this on an S5?
This is killing me. Ive driven like 5 total miles since this pullover.

I have not run a front plate on two vehicles since 2004 with no problems yet. I am sure they are required but on my Jeep (with front stinger) there is not a plate holder. On my new S5 - it's too beautiful to screw up with a plate. I will take the risk. Your not likely to get stopped unless something else looks suspicious - like speeding! go figure - there is no money in "fix it" tickets.
