You're right, it needs a better perspective. I'll take a shot tomorrow from a distance.

Default Great meetin' you today Quattrings. Any of the mesh you found come in flat black?

This would be a mod I'd be interested in as well. Nice job, you're quite the handy man!

Default The hood emblem is the ONE thing I hate about the R8 design...

...not to mention how much of a PITA it would be detailing the car with those in the way. Skip.

Default Likewise Moonrokk - glad I bumped into you!

You actually can get the mesh in powdercoated flat black in the 12x48 size but only gloss in the larger 18x48 size. If you plan to do the whole grill, you'll want the 18x48 so you can do it in one piece. I think the RS mesh would be perfect if it's about the same size but it would be expensive to buy an RS6 grill only to have to cut it up. It would be a sad moment.

Default Hard to imagine an R8 with a big chrome emblem in the grill though, it fits the image IMO

It's a subjective look though, takes getting used to.

Default Frankly, I prefer the stock grill but this one is a close second....

+1... maybe replace the OOOO on this meshed grill with the smaller one from the R8?
