Has anyone received any definitive word on whether the gas guzzler tax will or will not be applied for S5 tips? There's been some debate both ways so far, but I've not seen anything authoritative.

I ordered mine with the gas guzzler tax - that's one option I could do without.

I think it would more likely be a question of what level the tax falls. It seems like there's no way it's not going to get some kind of Gas Guzzler tax.

Do a search for this - it's been discussed in detail previously. Not sure if it was here, maybe another forum. The conclusion was that the S5 Tip would not have gas guzzler, and my order supposedly confirms that. The A5 almost definitely won't have gg tax.

Since cars are landing starting this month, wondering if anyone has finalized their paperwork and can definitively say yes or no.

I think this is going to be the first car where the gas mileage is better with Auto (tip) then manual
I have had a couple of Corvettes and currently a GTO
and the sticks have much better gas mileage then the Autos. I paid $1300 gas guzzler tax on my current Auto GTO that I'm getting rid of now, I'm patiently waiting for my S5
