I tried to offer a $1000 under MSRP, but they wouldn't take it. The salesperson said he had to check if they could sell it at MSRP and call me back. I told him I wouldn't pay more then MSRP and a few minutes later he called back and agreed to sell it at MSRP.
After my local dealer in Maine told me he would not be able to order a RS5 Cabriolet I started searching the web for one. While watching a baseball game on Sunday I checked the inventory at every Audi Dealer on the east coast. I found three I liked and emailed the dealers. I got a reply from one dealer and it was the one I really wanted. After agreeing on a price I flew down to New Jersey on Tuesday and bought it and drove it back to Maine. It was a great ride!
Congratulations! That color is gorgeous! Nice photos. Was there much negotiation on price? I have ordered one and the dealer implies there likely won't be any - for obvious reasons. Enjoy!!!

[QUOTE=ME24;24431511]Thanks for the info. That's what I suspected. Again, such a gorgeous color combo. Bet that exhaust sounds intoxicating with the top down!

That’s what I was told by a local dealer when I was about to order my RS5 CP. I walked out and went to another dealer who offered $3000 below MSRP without me asking. The first dealer tried to offer $2000 off but it was too late.
My principle is: here is my offer! Take it or leave it. There is no way I’m going to pay the MSRP.

. If you order one you should be able to get it $1500-3000 below MSRP. The one the dealer in Maine tried to order would have been below MSRP. It's harder to negotiate on a rare car they have in stock. It was worth it for me to have it this summer and pay a little extra.

Just had my first check engine light after 796 miles. The secondary air system switching valve stuck open bank2. Apparently it was stuck only one time making the warning light come on. The tech told me they might need to pull the engine if they need to replace it, but that it probably wouldn't be necessary. They also took it for a 12 mile joy (test) ride. Anyone else have any problem with this valve?
