I am considering purchasing a cabrio in an A5 or a TT -- with MMI nav.

I am currently using a Garmin GPS. It displays a speed limit sign with the limit for the road segment being traveled -- plus the current vehicle speed. If the current speed is over the displayed limit the numbers are RED.

On my A5/TT test drives I don't remember seeing this data.

Did I just miss it or is this not a feature on the Audi Nav?

Sad if true -- as I would be forced to put my Garmin in my new Audi!

Unfortunately, GPS capabilities installed in any car will never be as advanced or up to date as the portable units.

According to an interview I saw with the CEO of Garmin, the automotive industries lead times are so long the technology can change before the car can be built. Or said another way,your car, the features in it and the subcontract parts had to be designed and committed to several years ago.

The technology and available maps used in GPS have advanced considerably since that time.

Sad! I have had this feature for at least 3 years.

I find it far more valuable than a radar detector.

Use your iPhone or Droid as they are up to date for everything including your speed. Nav is to difficult in the Audi compared to my smartphone.
