Default Haze on windshield... Anyone else?

I noticed on my windshield after washing it that there seems to be a haze outline about 5" from each side and about 5" from the top covering the entire windshield.

Tried windex, alcohol, and goo gone. Nothing seems to take it off.

Anyone else have this issue?

Fix for it?

If you've already tried white vinegar, then the next step would be to try a dedicated glass polish, e.g. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1

Someone on the Autopia forum gave me this tip:

To get your glass completely clean, use a clay bar. I had never even thought of that, but I tried it and it worked perfectly. Just make sure that you use plain water with it.

After cleaning my windshield repeatedly with soap/water, window cleaner, white vinegar, etc...it was amazing to see the stuff that the clay bar removed from the glass.

I will try the clay bar and see if that makes a difference. If not then back to the dealer it goes.

Unfortunately, hazing as described is very often a sign that the windscreen is de-laminating.

On a brand new car? Man I would hope not.

It almost sounds like something got on the glass as it was being sealed for shipment, with its adhesive border preventing contamination. Again, glass polish works wonders, especially with a random orbital machine.

Well I tried the clay bar and it seems to have gotten most of it off. Going to get some stuff from a glass shop tomorrow that they told me will get the rest off. It is a glass polish for stained glass, which I hope will work..
