Default Headlights

Does anyone feel that the headlights are aimed low? While my car was at the dealer I asked them to aim them higher and they told me they are computer controlled and the car measures the angle of the light in relation to the road so they can't be changed. Does this make sense?

yea it does make sense, especially if you have adaptive headlights.

BS, you should be able to hook your car to a VAG tool and recalibate the light.

I think your dealer is just trying to blow you off. Even with self-leveling headlights, you still need to manually align them when they are first intalled. Which means, they are adjustable. And BlueSander is right, IIRC, the VAG does also allow some adjustment as well.

Also, the adaptive headlights system (Ones that turns left and right as) is not one of the features that's on the S5 Cabriolet.

I agree! It doesn't make sense that they can't be adjusted. Maybe I should call Audi of America and investigate further.
Hate being blown off!

Constipated much ? Where exactly did this wonderful attitude of yours came from ?

I read my OM from cover to cover right after picking up my car, which leads to my question to you. Again, what specific pages are you referring to with your reply ?

I did not since I asked the dealer to adjust them. Anyway, the manual wouldn't likely have instructions for adjusting the lights unless it could be done via MMI.
