Default how to clean headlight lenses? a5

I doubt we can remove the headlight lense to get inside the headlight to clean it so what do you guys recommend using on the outside to clean it? windex and a cotton cloth?

You are correct, the lenses can not be removed. The headlights are sealed units glued together.

Windex & a soft cloth are fine. I give them a coat of liquid silicone wax periodically as well. Rain-x is also good.

For a sealed unit, it sure manages to accumulate a lot of dust inside the lens.

Yes...you are correct. Not truly sealed.

I meant sealed from the standpoint that the lens & bucket are one piece. Used to be that Euro headlights had a separate lens, reflector, bucket, adjusting mechanisms, etc., that could all be replaced independently.

Have them on my two 1990 SAAB 900 SPGs. Made by Hella for SAAB and other OEMs. They were nice because virtually every part of the headlight assembly was individually replaceable.

Not any more, unfortunately.
