im definitely looking to get an audi a5 or s5, but quite a few posts on here end up being, "im glad i dont own a bmw." is there some sort of inferiority complex bc bmw usually beats audi in comparo tests or something? everyone is ******* bmw's reliability rep, but its not like audi has a stellar rep either. this is not to say i dont like audi, esp considering that im planning on getting one soon, but i feel that you have to give credit where credit is due.

Certainly nowhere near the nimbleness and power of my S4, but the overall *feel* of the car exceeds it... and that interior. oh man, that interior is just amazing.

I own a 1996 BMW 328is and it has been a great car.
I like both BMW and Audi- however the new Bangle style turns me off to BMW looks of new cars. Audi has great styling and interiors and good performance. BMW has the edge still in performance and handling but Audi is quickly catching up.
Both cost a lot of money to buy new and repair.
However, I am strongly leaning toward either the A5, S5 or RS4 based on deals I can score in next few years.
Audi values drop a lot more than BMW so for a used car they are better deal. Reliability is not as good unfortunately from what I hear.

Best interior and the way my body fits would be the RS4 and 420HP rocks. But the sticker price is way too high for a new RS4 and I may score one 1-2 years from now with good price.
Heck if I get lucky and can pick one up for 40k a year or two from now that would be fantastic. Audis drop like a rock in value.

original. S5 is next for me as it has the timeless styling, 4 wheel drive, and considerable performance. Having owned an X5 I will say that while my Audi may need a good amount of service (the RS6 does not so much my older ones) but it never left me stranded or did anything without warning, or strange stuff like the door not latching shut when temps are below 20...ever tried to drive around holding a door closed...you put the seat belt through the handle and wish yourself good luck.
