Have a phantom black S5 ordered a couple of weeks ago, so I probably still have time to make a change or two.... the interior color choice is tough.

I've seen the Pearl Silver interior at the Audi Forum in NYC, and it's not hard to imagine how a black interior looks! Both would work well in most cases.

However with a sporty coupe like the S5, why not be a bit more daring. So I chose the black/pearl silver alcantara two tone, which is a pretty sporty look.

However I keep looking at the magma red and even the tuscan brown and think that these would also look amazing in a black S5. I'm even wondering if they would look classier than the two tone black/pearl silver alcantara.

Trouble is that I have not seen any of these colors in the flesh, so although color choice is a personal thing, I'm wondering if anyone has seen the black/silver alcantara in the flesh and how it compares, esp to the red?

What's really bugging me is that the combo looks great in this configurator (which is from the top of the audi web page)

but it doesn't look as hot in the recently added configurator on the right hand side of the web page. It's just hard to judge a color from a web page. I'm sure I'll be happy with any choice but maybe someone has seen the two tone seats?

change your sheets weekly?
polish your dress shoes weekly?
have no dirty dishes next to your sink?
wash the exterior of your car weekly?
wax your car religiously?
never allow people to eat or drink in your car?
not have any kids?
never ride in your car when you're sweaty or dirty?

If you answered yes to all of these questions then congratulations, you're ready for silver and/or alcantara.

If you've answered negative to any of these questions then go with black, brown or magma!

Hope that helps. For what it's worth I have "Vanilla" colored leather interior in my wife's black TT and will never get it again because I fail on some of the above questions. It all comes down to your lifestyle. I love the look of a light interior but I now realize it's not for me.

i had the S5 out today at Don Rosen in the Philly area. i got to open it up to 130mph on the highway then the salesman got a little worried haha.. they have charcoal (meteor grey i think) with red leather. the whole interior looked amazing (and it was very comfortable and roomy too!). but i think i'm going to order white with red leather or black with red leather. good luck.

Well the g/f insists that I change the sheets occasionally; I sometimes run a cloth over my shoes, and thank goodness for dishwashers....

I would wash my S5 (although I wash my Xterra twice a year perhaps); basically I'm a mess but there wouldn't be kids or dogs in the car - maybe I'd call a cab for them.

This red is pretty cool - love the detail like the red stitching around the inside of the steering wheel and stick... just occurred to me that I must admit that I feel lucky and perhaps a tad guilty that this is what is occupying my time right this minute, considering all the bad things going on in the world. Ah well, enjoy it while we can right...

Originally I was ready to order black/pearl silver alcantara interior, but then fortunately my test drive car had this interior and I didn't like it. The pictures and Audi configurator pics of this interior looks great, but not in real life. But that's just my opinion. The dealer liked this combination a lot. The car was black outside. Sorry , I didn't take eny pictures during this test drive.

Got mine on order and I have three days to decide which color I want the interior before its too late. I'm 95% set on Tuscan brown because it would add that "Ferrari" feel to an already outstanding vehicle. Initially I was set for black on black but all my vehicles are the same configuration so I decided to go a bit more daring.

I saw the Magma Red in real life and it's not my thing. Don't wanna look like a total playboy driving around lipstick colored seats. The gray get dirty real easy and the alcantara? forget about it- I own an S4 and I'll never buy alcantara seats again.

The brown really adds a notch of sportiness, a feeling of exotic to the vehicle. I hope I dont regret my choice ;-)

Can You please take a picture or two of this interior? I currently have it on order, and don't want to end up with an interior I hate. I think it looks sick on the Audiusa config(the big one), but Im not sure. Please get me a pic. Thank You.
