A5_Pilot

Hey guys,

I am new to Audi so please bear with me. I recently purchased a 2009 Audi A5 coupe with the MMI system but no navi. I know it has the standard iOS serial adapter in the glove box. What I want to do is get the lightning adapter to convert it so I can fit an iPhone 5 to it, and get an extension lightning cable so I can have it come upto the center console by the driver. Is this possible and has anyone done this? If so, then besides the apple adapter and extension cable, what else do I need to make it work with MMI? Also will the MMI unit have control functions such as play, pause, skip tracks etc... Thanks for any input you have in advance.

It won't work. Audi has to make some changes, although it might work in iOS 7. Perhaps an iOS 7 beta tester can try it out. Bluetooth does work although not much can be controlled from the MMI.
