Incredible. I hope this doesn't turn into a nightmare. The dealer seemed to be aware of the issue but said that Audi had not issued anything in regards to this problem. Although I'm sure the idea of force balancing must have come from Audi.

Default looks like a strange detailing routine to me

But, I'd go get a professional detail.
It is common to top a synthetic wax with carnuba (for extra shine)... but putting a synthetic wax over carnuba??? What's the point? It will not hold well.

Also, if you go for a professional detail why not ask for something better than maguire's wax??? swissvax, for example

swisswasx is a high end product and it is expensive. unless you are crazy about detailing or do it for a living, it probably does not makes sense to buy it for occasional use... But if you are already paying for a professional detail, I would ask for it.

as a general advice, check detailing forums.

Hey, that's the way my detailer did it, he was the one that introduced it to me, it worked out well, from what I understand teflon is more of sealant to get to those microscopic open spots. It's not really there to increase shine and so on. Just to seal where you may have missed.

Swissvax, cost more than detailing, pay roughly $275 for detail, what's a bit of the cheaper swiss vax go for like, $500, I think they have $1250 as there highest end wax. I'll ask my detailer, I talked to anohter, car dealer, he said it's really good for older cars , but if you have a new car, it's not going to do much better than the cheaper stuff, if your paint job is like the 30 years old different story he says. Also, he says Maguires better waxes are very good, and he's been detailing owning car wash for some 30+ years, it's what he even uses on his personal cars.

I hear you. Swisswax is indeed $$$$$. But you are not paying a full can of these stuff, when getting a professional detail. This was kinda my point.
