Just spent 30 minutes looking over, in, under and around an S5. I think I've found my next car.

Italian car, imported for some Audi-sponsored bike race here this weekend. He said US cars should begin to show up soon.

Simply a beautiful car, both inside & out. The start-up sequence, with the gauges sweeping their full range, is very Ducati. I like.

That's is a very cool effect... seems like I've seen it in some other car too?

I'm sure Ferraris & Alfas do it. I don't recall if the Gallardo I drove did it or not.

Default Aston Martins do it, and Aston Martins are a Cool Car, no Shame in Being Associated with them.

I've seen the process on the S5 too, its just one of those things that Audi does to make its cars special that gives the feeling of passion and excitement, like the A8/S8s flip out screen, or the Bang and Olufsen speakers how they extend out, the LED DRLs, they are all little things, but they count very much so, to me anyway.

Passion is something that many cars don't have now, or are losing as time goes by e.g Mercedes, BMW unfortunately.

Default Which Ducati?

I had a 996 for a few years and could swear I never saw this on startup.

I'm with you on this one as well. Still waiting to see it in person though.
