Default Long cranks?

Once or twice in the past I have had a long crank (more than a few seconds) when first starting the car in the morning. Today I had a very long crank (almost 10 seconds) when starting my car.

I will see what happens but I am a bit concerned as someone rear-ended my car the other day when it was sitting at a stoplight - the damage to the bumper doesn't look too bad, but now I am worried that the accident could have done something to the exhaust or fuel pump that is causing the long crank.

I have to get the insurance company to inspect the car and will absolutely mention the potential for hidden damage causing the long crank.

Am I just being paranoid, or is there a reasonable chance my long crank issue could be related to the fender-bender?

Default

I too have noticed long cranking times in the morning (maybe 10-15 seconds). I have not had any accident damage to the car, so I cannot blame trauma to the mechanicals. I asked the dealer to test the battery condition and he found it to be "within spec."

I have not owned Audi before, but the crank times are certainly longer than those I experience with my Lexus and Infiniti vehicles..
