Default Lots of tar like spots on 2010 A5 white

So, I have had my 2010 white A5 for almost 6 months now and the paint looks real terrible with lots of tar like spots all over. Any one have a similar problem? Any suggested fixes or is the paint that bad?
Thanks

I have similar stuff. Looks like all the metal brake dust all over the roads kicked up throughout winter ended up on the car and slowly rusting. Seems removable with claybar, though.

Clay bar is awesome and easy to use. Just follow direction and use lots of lubricant (that's what she said).

Thanks..I have a local detail shop that claims they have this product that they will put on after they clay and wax it that will prevent the tar from sticking...costs $350.00 total. Any one do anything like that on their white Audi?

I'm planning on claying and waxing my Ibis car in a couple of weeks. Normally do it every 1-2 months.

From the look of your car in the light reflection, you need to get a new washing mitt or better a boars hair brush to wash with.

I'd be interested to hear more details on this miracle product they are using, but almost certainly that is a crock of bull. I can't believe it's anything more than a high-quality sealant, which is nowhere near a $350 cost. I'd be very suspicious of a detail shop that tries to rip off their customers that way.

I have had the same thing on my 2010 s5. I think it is the aerodynamics of the car seems like the rear end of the car gets all the road grime tar and dust. I have clayed my car twice and used a good cleaner wax. I really think they are just trying to sell you some snake oil. But if they are willing to put it in writing go for it. But if you are going to clay try to fine blue magics blue clay it is the best I have used. You can find it were they sell auto paint for body shops

Yes, I believe it was a sealant...and I talked to them and they are willing to clay and wax as well as put this sealant on for $250.00. Is this price point sound resonable?

Spend a day washing, claying, and waxing the car yourself. You only have to do it twice a year or so. Like no one takes care of your own money better than yourself, no one will take better care of your car than yourself. Get yourself an orbital buffer, some liquid wax (I found Nu-Finish to be great and cheap), and put some elbow grease into it. It's a lot of work but it's YOUR car! Why would you let anyone else work on it unless you have to?
