Maserati GranSport vs A5 S-line style
I kept looking around for this type of Maserati for awhile since I thought the rear end resembled the A5 S-line. Or rather the A5 resembled the Maz.
Today I stumbled across this 2005/2006 about a mile from my house. I couldn't park any closer because of the terrain.
The taillights are obviously different, but the shape and lines of the rest of the rear are very similar.
Very sexy car.

Actually, I think the A5/S5 more closely resembles an Aston Martin DB9 from the rear which is one reason why it looks so hot.
Both have the integrated spoiler across the entire rear of the car and wrap around tail lights.

Perhaps a blend of both.

listen up guys. these are two different games entirely.
forget how the cars look.
My best friend owned the gransport and it was not really a usable car.
He spent $12k just replacing wheels and rims.
He ended up selling and getting the Maserati Granturismo - which is much improved in its engineering.
If you go over a bad pothole in the gransport you are making a commitment to replacing two wheels - because the other rim won't be available etc etc etc.
If you have the money get a granturismo. If you are thinking that a used Maz gransport equals an S5 you are DEAD wrong.

FYI, I test drove the Maserati a couple weeks ago. (BTW, they are sucking wind, with huge inventory on the lot. If you have a pulse they would be eager to offer a drive...)
Gorgeous bodywork. Driving? Nice car for my mother (who regularly drives an A4 with a stick, so she'd be disappointed that you can't get a standard shift in the Maserati. Soft suspension, numb steering, really uncomfortably firm seats.
A very feminine car. Nothing like the Aston - in any way. An S4 is way more of a drivers car as well.
