Default which mats in the summer?

I'm debating whether to bother taking my winter mats off in the summer time... is there any practical advantage of the textile/summer OEM mats or do most people just leave the winter mats on all year?

A thread in the A8 forum suggests rubber mats "cheapen" the experience.

I go with the OEM carpet mats in Summer (all wx in Winter). But then we in New England do a lot of seasonal changeover things.

+1. I can't wait for the day when I get the winter wheels off and proper carpeted mats re-fitted. (I've got custom mats ordered from Lloyd for fair weather.)

I had forgotten how nice the summer mats look - the winter ones were so practical (although winter was so mild probably less so).

I will swap back to the summer mats as I agree they look better.

Wait a minute... the OEM summer carpet mats are very much bleh and look nothing like the ones Jon'sS5 posted I guess I thought there was at least a logo on them, but there isn't.

The OEM mats certainly don't look great... so it's just a question if they look better than the rubber ones.

I always switch back to the carpeted mats after the winter. Although the Weather-tech floor liners do a great job of keeping the carpet clean during the winter, I prefer the carpeted mats during the summer because they feel more comfortable under my feet.
