Scottacus was right on in his analysis...
Order:
Nappa - top grain
Valcona (not avail in US) - top grain
Milano - corrected grain
std. - corrected grain
Note that none are "full grain" natural (aniline) leathers like what Porsche offers.
interesting aside: Audi uses rhubarb as a vegetable tanning agent.

with the white alcantara, pick up a pack of the Mr Clean Magic Erasers... works fantastic on my friends B7S4.
As for the leather, I have an oddball car, 2008 A5 S-line, but I have the s-line seats in full Milano. I do not have the perforated inserts. I really like the Milano leather. Compared to the standard leather it is a bit stiffer, creases/wrinkles less, and retains heat longer (unfortunately it also takes a little bit longer to heat up).
But if it had been an option I would have totally gone for the Valcona leather it is without a doubt the best leather option Audi has. The Nappa is too soft, and creases more easily.
