More information on the tilt-only sunroof and no sunroof delete option for US
I have spoken to an AoA representative and found the following:
1) It will be a tilt-only sunroof (it will not open fully).
2) The decision for a tilt-only sunroof came directly from Audi AG, and is in line with the competition (particularly if you include the BMW 6 series).
3) The car has completed development so there is no changing the tilt-only sunroof at this point.
4) There will be no sunroof delete option offered in the US.
5) Offering no sunroof delete was a very easy decision for AoA based on total sunroof installation rates of both competition and its own cars.
6) Audi also took into account where potential coupe customers are living around the US when making the no sunroof delete option decision.

Of course. AoA is going to bring the version of the vehicle that will sell the most units.
It's the law of averages and makes perfect market sense even if it's unsatisfying to the small minority.
