I'm traveling and won't be home until Thursday -can do it then. Does that mean - or give me hope - that there is a fix to this annoyance?

While getting the nav version #, I did notice there is a setting for restoring "default setting" to a long list of changes you can make to the nav system. My MMI has a setup button that works to change the radio, nav, telephone and car settings - I hit the nav and setup buttons and then or the top right of the screen there is the setting menu - I found the "defat setting menu in there. I know the 2013 system is different, so you will have to do a little searching.

I'm almost sure that in my car, if you had the nav button "on" when you turn off the car, the nav info input screen comes on when you restart the car. If you have the media or radio button "on" when you turn off the car, it also comes back on when you restart the car. I'll recheck it tomorrow.

And of course I didn't record the old numbers before they updated it.

UPDATE!!! Dallas Audi emailed me today and said they will do the update for $179. Thank you Tony and to everyone on the forum.
