Default Nissan GTR Skyline vs. BMW 135i versus Audi S5

Sounds like major competition from BMW for 15k less money even though the Audi S5 has the V8 more HP, nicer interior and exterior design. Even the 335i has less cost. Now if price is not a factor the S5 would be nice to have. Just need to see what happens in few years and also whether or not Audi will build the mid-engine R4 and how the RS5 comes out. The GTR will cost more at 70k but have Porsche 911 turbo performance.

Default A broad range of choices

I was just throwing it out there to show the range of choices and price points.

BMW 135i> Audi A4
Audi A5 > BMW 135i
BMW 335i > Audi A5 < Audi S5
Audi S5<BMW M3<Audi RS4<Nissan GTR Skyline<Audi R8

Just depends on how much cash you really have
to drop on a new car.

If I was a filthy rich billionaire my top choices would be between a new Lamborghini Reventon, and Audi R8 and a Bugatti Veyron.

I will have to see after driving the new BMW 135i and M3 and GTR Skyline to see how they stack up against the S5 and RS4. Better yet to wait until Audi comes out with RS5 and R4/R5.

Its tough to make choice.

Default Just a FYI.. 1st yr production GT-R's will likely cost about $90k or more

Low 1st year production numbers and dealer mark-ups ftl. Good luck trying to get a test drive.

Default Sounds like pricing for future Acura NSX

That and the sticker shock for Audi R8 would cause me to decide on S5.

So now the decision is between Porsche Cayman S and Audi S5. I am leaning toward the Audi S5 because it is less money and has best blend of luxury, style and performance over competition.

Default 2009 NSX is rumored to be a 550-600 HP All wheel drive V10 - not likely its under $140K

Don't expect a test drive on that one either

Default Audi S5, RS5 and R4/R5 clear winners

Unless BMW M3 can beat Audi then for me its probably my next ride :-)

But why are Audi folks on here so bitter and defensive? I never find BMW fans that way.

Default You should buy an STI.........you'll save even more

that 1 series looks like crap in reality, looks good by the numbers. but so does an STI. it ain't all about $/hp. if it is to you, that's why the STI exists.
