Default Non-iPod MMI Music Interface?

Does anyone with an '13 S5 have an Android or Windows phone, and can verify how the media/music interface functions? I'm assuming it'd be the same as an iPod/iPhone, but thumbing through the manuals they all only say iPod/iPhone, and no mention of non-Apple devices. Thanks!

I have a '13 A5 and a Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket Phone running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. I didn't see the point of buying the cable since everything works over bluetooth. I have an old Ipod I connected to the cable in the glove box.

The Media interface is easy. Via bluetooth, it syncs to my music, playlists, etc. on my phone, which can be controlled via the main screen or the steering wheel. There is a source setting within the menu that allows me to switch between my phone on bluetooth and the ipod via cable.

A recent discovery I made, which is awesome, is that I can run pandora over the bluetooth. All I do is go into the media interface (which automatically starts playing one of the mp3 files on my phone for some reason), pause the song on my phone, open Pandora, and it comes right over the speakers. But you still need to control Pandora through the phone.

Interesting -- I have a Razr running ICS. The upgrade to ICS caused me lots of problems with the BMW particularly with the contacts. Software must have been upgraded since it now works with the 135.

With the '13 S4, the phone synched with no problems; but, I have thus far been unsuccesful at getting it to play the books on tape that I downloaded from the library and I haven't tested out Pandora yet.
