Oil Leak
Hello from a newbie.
I just got a 2009 S5 on Saturday 7/21/12. When I got the car I noticed some (just a little) oil in the plastic engine tray that covers the bottom of the car. I thought it was just a little overspill from the most recent oil change.
There were no leaks on Saturday. However on Sunday there was an oil spot on the driveway. I got under the car cleaned the plactic cover and wiped off the oil plug. I waited a while before I put the cover back on and there was some oil on the plug again. Today I get up and there is another oil spot in the driveway.
I think the oil plug may not have been torqued to the correct specs.
I've searched all over here and can not find a sticky, about
self oil changes, with torque specs, and exact size of the hex and nut/crush washer for the plug.
Any link or inoformantion would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, It is going back to the dealer today, but I just wanted some help as I do plan on doing much of the future service myself.

Faulty oil change
I had this same problem last week, just a few days after I bought my 2008 Audi S5. I took it into the dealership, and it turns out that the culprit was a damaged drain plug washer caused by an oil change not in accordance with Audi's procedures. The repair only cost me a few bucks for the new oil change, plus a the washer, and a oil level sensor that become fouled.
If you plan to change your own oil, I'd spend some time with an Audi certified mechanic to find out what their process is.
Also, for the love of god, please make sure you keep refilling your oil until it is repaired.

Thanks for the response. I did get it fixed. Mine was a bad plug too. I got the car from a non audi dealership, and it looks like they used an non audi oil plug. I took it to an Audi shop and they had the problem diagnosed and fixed in 30 Minutes.
