Anybody else ordered a tip in the same timeframe? Have you got any status?

A lot depends on your dealer's volume (which means more allocations) and where you are on their list. My dealer is a rather high volume dealer and I was second on their list. My car is due to arrive early next month. However, I don't think any Tip order after me on the list has been allocated yet.

Allocations come out around the 15th of each month. So, maybe some lucky folks will get their build dates this week. My understanding is that, at this point, best case scenario is around September delivery for a 2009 model (whether pricing changes has been debated a lot on here, but not resolved). Theoretically, your dealer should have also replaced your initial 2008 order with a 2009 order (another thing that's been discussed quite a bit).

Also, note that for Tips the October order date doesn't matter. Tip orders weren't taken by Audi until mid December. Your dealer may have taken the order earlier, but that would serve only to mark your place in line.

I'm in New York. I ordered my S5 Tip. in October and picked it up last week. It was my dealers only S5 Tip. for 08. He said the factory picked up my order ahead of a number of 6 speed orders that were months ahead of me. He had no idea why. He also has no idea when he's getting another one.
