All,
Should say hi....I am new here.
Currently driving a Q7 3.6 and been waiting for 8 months for my S5 order. I hope that I'll be getting a call soon for the order.
I am looking at the Phantom Black with Pearl Silver. The problem is that the dealer doesn't have samples of the Pearl Silver.
The combo that I am looking for is black exterior and white interior, can someone let me know if the Pearl Silver is white or gray or what it is? Is there another color on the 08 line-up that comes close to the pearl silver?
If not I am going with Brown?
Thanks,
Paul

Ok, this picture below is of my silver napa interior and before I put rs4 door panels on (also in silver napa), I had done custom panels in a slightly off-white alcantara... so if you look at the doors and think "white"... take a look at the seats.... However, trust me, they look white in the sun and a LOT whiter, now that my door panels match them...

The thing is, I've always looked at the seats and saw and thought "white"... it doesn't look "gray"... but I don't think it really looks "silver" much either... but it's not a gray.. it's very very different from the grays, even the LIGHT ones that Audi has used in the past on other models.
When you have something stark white next to it (like those door panels).... they look "dirty white"... but I replaced those as I said with matching silver napa panels... and all of a sudden, the seats look clean and white again. It's weird.
I have to tell you one thing though, my car is almost 4 years old and I've seen some used S4's with silver leather that look 10x worse after just a couple years... I clean them twice a year and condition them every other time I clean the interior.... They will look awesome on a just about any color, I think, especially black... you'll just want to take care of them..but you should take care of them no matter what color you choose.

As ewcpalo was saying, PS isn't close to grey. For all intensive purposes it is white. I love the contrast but I have to be honest, they are a royal pain in the **** to keep clean. I clean and condition mine every 1.5 months. Keeping on top of it makes them easier to clean, and only takes about 20-30 mins. If I had to do it all over again I think I would still get PS. I liked Magma, but thought I would get tired of it after a while. Tuscan on the other hand was just not the right brown for me. Lastly, my previous car had a black interior and I wanted something different. The only issue I really have with them is with jeans. Expensive or not, they still will leave blue streaks if you just throw yourself in the car. In the end, I have trained myself to use care when entering and exiting the vehicle. Hope this helps.

man, I can't beleive this jean blue streak thing... All I ever wear is jeans and from a handful of different places and new and old and different shades and whatever... I don't have a mark on my seats from jeans...
Even though I went with black in my TT (only because it was ibis white)... I would and plan on going silver in one way or another on my next car also.

LONESTARS5, your car's interior looks awesome.
Also, what mats are those? Weathertech? I have the OEM A5 mats for my S5 but like yours much more.

on my pearl silver interior. I've had the car almost a year and the seats look excellent. I used the Audi leather cleaner/conditioner kit from their website and it works really well. have only cleaned the driver seat twice in 12 months and the slight surface dirt comes right off.
I'd recommend pearl silver to people and wouldn't think twice about getting it again. With my Daytona it's a nice combo and lightens up the interior.
